Spada
Blade of the Pincian City.
"It has been 400 years since the dawn of the reign of Thrones. When once power was held in grip of monarchs with their knights or popular assemblies supported by the pike and arquebus, that old world was upended when a strange power emerged that allowed one person to bestow immense strength and speed to another to do their bidding. Those who could grant such powers to others are now called Thrones, and those they grant power are their Blades. On bended knee, a Blade receives power and swears their oaths. A Blade serves one Throne and a Throne keeps one Blade. The power granted by a Throne also grants that Throne a great deal of influence over the mind of the Blade, able to shape and change memory and personality. Blades are made loyal and made devoted to the Throne they serve, shaped and molded to be as best suits their Throne’s desires and needs."
The Pincian City is the smallest and oldest Dominion and is the center of power and authority of The Universal Church. The Throne of The Pincian is elected by a council of high ranking officials that convenes every 20 years, except in times of emergency. The Throne of The Pincian takes on the name Sedia upon Coronation, and their Blade is given the name Spada. As the Pincian is a place of many secrets and potential for treachery, so for many years the Sedias have made sure to keep their Blades free from such matters–the erasure of memory. Upon elevation, this Spada (rumored to be from a foreign land given the strange markings that cover their arms) had her whole life prior erased. Nightly, circumstances permitting, she gives a detailed account of all they have thought and done that day to Sedia, who then takes all memory of such things away. Cultural depictions often depict Spadas as fanatical, but those who have dealt with a Spada often report a serenity and trust that only saints can rival.Spada is a character from the LARP Throne & Blade. This is just one interpretation.

Hopefully one day there will be plenty of lovely pieces of art depicting Spada here! For now, instead, you get a decent reference drawing I put together. The scapular/collar/sash fabric is the background of this page, otherwise she's dressed in all dark navy blue/black.An open eye is the iconography of her religion that is definitely not Vatican Catholicism with the serial numbers filed off.Her tattoos are sicanje and you don't need to be too fussed about perfect placement accuracy (even I change it a bit from drawing to drawing, usually.)As is implied from the LARP information on the homepage, Spada's personality (such as it can be called a personality) is one of devotion and perfect adherence to doctrine. She is the model to which all other Blades are molded -- the example to follow and the pinnacle of achievement.
